NSW Skilled Nominated (Permanent) (Class SN) (Subclass 190) Update!

What is Skilled Nominated Visa 190?

The Subclass 190 Skilled Nominated visa is a permanent residency visa type for skilled workers and their family (spouse/ defacto partner and their children) who are sponsored by a state.

Unlike the subclass 189, this visa requires an applicant to submit an expression of interest with a specific state selected, fulfil all the requirements for their occupation (for the state in question) as well as submit any documents required for that state.

You can also default to ‘any state’ as well to broaden your options.

Each state runs their own state nomination program and are all slightly different in their implementation.

NSW Skilled Nominated Visa 190 Update

Months ago the NSW published a very restrictive list of requirements to allow people to be selected. In particular stringent requirements were introduced in terms of minimum years of experience and minimum points for each occupation.

On Friday the so expected good news, to show that Christmas came early!

Previously published points scores and work experience guides for the Skilled Nominated visa (subclass 190) have been removed due to increased availability of the Skilled Independent visa (subclass 189) by the Department of Home Affairs.

Now the minimum point score is 65 points for all the eligible occupations.

NSW nomination

NSW uses a selection-based invitation process to ensure that NSW nominees are aligned with the skills needs of the state's economy.

So please do not waste any time and apply if you satisfy all the other requirements!!!
